We are a church of people who accept without reservation that God is boundless Love and man innately good. Our purpose is to share this sense of God and man, offer answers to life's challenges and support spiritual growth through effective, healing prayer.

Christian Science study, prayer and practice develop a concept of God as a loving Father-Mother, and man as God's reflection and expression. This study brings great blessing and healing. So if you are curious about how we use this scientific Christianity in our daily lives, you can hear these ideas developed and explained at our church services, at Christian Science Lectures, and through our Pastor: The Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, who established the Christian Science Church more than 150 years ago.

 
CHURCH STRUCTURE
Christian Science is a Christian denomination. The Churches are Lay churches - known as "Churches of Christ, Scientist" - independent of each other but all branches of The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, USA. The branches are non hierarchical and run by their members, with officers elected annually. The Officers include two "Readers" - a First Reader and Second Reader - who read the Lesson Sermon at the Sunday Service. The First Reader conducts both the Sunday and Wednesday service and is responsible for choosing the texts from The Pastor for the mid-week service. The other elected officers are responsible for the branch administration and usually include an Executive Board, and a President.

Churches hold weekly Sunday Services, Sunday School, and a mid-week meeting where members and visitors share helpful spiritual ideas and healing resulting from scientific Christian prayer. Each church also maintains a week-day open door with a spiritual resource centre for quiet study and prayer - Christian Science Reading Room - in its city.

THE CHRISTIAN SCIENCE TEXTBOOK
Mary Baker Eddy wrote Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures to give to the world the practical system of Christian healing she discovered in the Bible. Her book explains how anyone can rely on God's laws to heal oneself and others.
